Latest monthly release: August 2026

Which importers buy French wine at your price and don't buy from you yet.

VS·Trade Radar is not a report: it is a monthly list of named opportunities. In Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Colombia and Ecuador, according to our analysis, which cross-checks several foreign-trade sources, it tells you which importer started buying, which one stopped, which one switched to another French winery and which ones buy at your price and don't buy from you yet, with volume and invoice price. It is never sold to the importers it covers.

The radar's alerts.

Each release compares the month with the previous one and tells you what changed, ranked by what matters to you: first whatever names your winery, your accounts and the importers you follow.

New importer

Buys French wine for the first time: an account nobody has yet.

Stopped buying

Used to buy and hasn't for months: the slot is open.

Switched winery

An importer moved from one winery to another of similar size: it is reviewing suppliers right now.

A competitor enters your account

One of your importers started buying from another winery, with enough volume to change the split.

A relationship cooling off

Bought this year but hasn't reordered from you in over six months: call before you lose it.

Buy at your price, not from you

Importers with wines in your price band who are not your customers, ranked by the measured likelihood that they open a new supplier.

Online, Excel and CSV

The report reads online and is laid out to print or save as PDF in one click, and the same data comes in Excel and CSV so your team can match it against your own numbers without retyping.

And every month, read from your winery.

The record is the same for everyone. What follows is built from your tax ID and only you see it: it is what changes from one release to the next.

Your monthly brief

What your importers bought in the month just in, how much of it was yours, and which other winery entered that account for the first time. A summary reaches you in the release e-mail.

Each line says how much of what that importer bought has an identified winery: «didn't buy from you» is only stated when it can be seen.

Who to write to, with the measured likelihood

For the wine you choose, the importers already buying in that price band who don't buy from you, ranked by how likely they are to open a new supplier.

42.2 % versus 5.9 %

An importer working with eight or more wineries opens another one within the following six months 42.2 % of the time; one buying from a single winery that opened none in half a year, 5.9 %. Measured on 2,569 observations of the record itself, not estimated.

Your list, with follow-up

Mark who you are targeting and where you stand with each one. Every release shows which winery that importer opened since you started following it, and the day the record sees its first purchase from yours, it tells you.

Your list and notes are yours: no other subscriber sees them.

What is a new relationship worth to you?

The calculator starts from what the record measures, not from a favourable case: a new relationship between a Mexican importer and an French winery moves, in its first year, a median of US$ 8,907 (157 relationships measured). One in four exceeds US$ 53,943 and one in ten US$ 183,739. Move your own figures. The annual subscription at the launch price costs US$ 9,999.

According to our analysis, which cross-checks several foreign-trade sources for each country, by FOB value. In the Dominican Republic and Colombia the supplier is named in the source itself; in Ecuador it is not, and the winery is attributed from the shipper's e-mail, the brand and the address (the Ecuador record starts in 2025). Verified decision-maker contacts, tax screening and tariff data are currently available for Mexico; in the other destinations the panel brings the record and the shipment ledger.

Frequently asked questions

Who is this record not sold to?

To anyone who buys wine in the countries it covers: Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Colombia and Ecuador. It is not sold to importers, distributors, agents or chains that import into any of them, nor to their subsidiaries.

It is not just a clause: before opening any account we check the tax ID and the e-mail domain against the importers identified in the four countries. If they appear, we don't sell.

How many places are there at the launch price?

15 for this report, and they are taken by the annual subscription, not by the trial. Each report comes with its own launch places, so the wine ones are not used up by another niche.

Whoever takes one keeps the annual plan at US$ 9,999 for as long as the subscription is not interrupted. From the sixteenth on, the price is US$ 14,900 a year.

Whoever takes the first place will be this report's first customer.

How long until the first release, and how fresh is the data?

Access opens as soon as payment is confirmed. With the annual plan you get the history since 2024 from that moment; after that, one release a month.

The data is not from yesterday, and it is worth knowing before you pay. Import records arrive week by week, ten to fifteen days after each week closes. The monthly release waits for the whole month, because every figure that is compared with another comes from it.

The latest release published is August 2026. If what you need is to know what happened yesterday, this is not for you, and it is better to say so now.

Where does this data come from?

From our analysis, which cross-checks several foreign-trade sources of public origin, regulatory and labelling registers, licensed commercial databases, and what companies publish about themselves.

Nothing comes from inside your company or your importers, and none of them is contacted.

How is it different from the databases I already know?

It is not the only service with this information: several companies sell wine trade data, and one of them is probably one of the sources of this record.

The difference is the work that comes after. A directory tells you who exists; the radar tells you who moved, with company names consolidated and the month's change flagged.

What if the figures don't match mine?

They should be close. It is worth knowing in advance why they won't be identical:

  • It is the invoice value declared by the importer, at the incoterm of each operation. In Mexico, 34 % of the value of French wine is declared EXW, FOB or FCA, without freight or insurance: comparable with your own invoicing for that share.
  • The date is the clearance date in the destination country, not your invoice date, and the amount is converted at that day's official exchange rate.
  • Part of it cannot be attributed. When a declaration groups several suppliers or comes through a consolidator without naming the winery, it is not assigned to anyone. That is why your total may come out below the real one.

If something doesn't add up, tell us: fixing it is more useful than being right. And you can check it before paying: get in at no cost with your winery's e-mail and SIREN or VAT number, and see your own figures, shipment by shipment, inside the product.

What does the record not include?

Who your importer resells to, and at what price. That leg is not recorded anywhere, nor in these sources, and it is not sold. We say so up front so you don't find out after paying.

How is VAT handled?

The invoice is issued by a UK company, so it is issued without VAT. If your company is in the European Union, you account for the VAT yourself under the reverse charge mechanism, as with any service bought from outside the Union.

To issue it we need your company name and your VAT number (SIREN or VAT number). If your finance department needs any additional detail on the invoice, we add it before charging: write to [email protected].

Can I pay by bank transfer, with an invoice?

Yes. The annual subscription can be paid by bank transfer. The invoice is issued by VS-Trade Intelligence Limited and sent before payment: write to [email protected].

Who builds the record?

Sebastián Alfonso, data analyst. The project started several months ago as his own work, cross-checking trade records, and is delivered as a boutique service: few clients, direct support, and the product improving with what each one points out.

The offer is aimed at the first companies in each market on purpose: a product like this is refined with whoever has the problem for real and knows what to ask.

It is invoiced by VS-Trade Intelligence Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17200549, verifiable at Companies House. And to be candid: no subscription to this report has been sold yet.

The August release is out.

There are places left at the launch price. Whoever comes in at that price keeps it for as long as they keep the subscription.
